Freshmen & Transfer Students Advice
Here are a few advice provided by Shifra Feldman (Civil Engineering of Class of 2019).
# Find Your Passion: Use this time to figure out what you are really passionate about. There is no better time than this one to take beginner level classes in different areas to find out what really interests and motivates you. You never know what you might like until you try different things. For example, you could think you want to be a business woman / man but then really enjoy your math class and decide to pursue a degree in mathematics.
# Get to Know People: People are your best friends. Talk to as many people as you can—professors, fellow students, staff, family, etc.—about what they do, how they got there, and what made them want to pursue that career/goal/position.
But at the end of the day, you are your own person, so follow your heart and go after what drives you to be a successful you.
